Why Do I Talk With a Lisp?
TeenHealthFX would like to begin by stating that there are no "dumb" questions! We look forward to answering any future inquiries you may have.
A lisp may be caused by both physical and psychological reasons. Being that TeenHealthFX cannot conduct a prior diagnosis over the internet, FX suggests scheduling an appointment with your doctor so he/she can perform a proper examination to determine if a certain medical condition is causing your lisp.
If necessary, your doctor can refer you to a speech-language pathologist. You can also search for a speech-language pathologist in your area via the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
TeenHealthFX understands that speaking with a lisp may be frustrating, however reminds you that there are certified professionals available to aid in improving and/or eliminating your lisp.
